If you are managing work and kids simultaneously, you must understand that there are certain special needs that your kids will have because you are working. Since you have to share your schedule with your employer as well as your kids, there may be instances where kids may have to sacrifice more than what they ought to. Well, this is all a part of the learning process.

Kids will have to understand that you cannot get stuff for free in this world. If you want to succeed, you will have to demand support from your family and it is the duty of the family to provide the same. However, you should understand that your kids deserve the benefits of their sacrifice. Do not make the mistake of thinking that you can pay them for their support. That would be equivalent to treating their emotions as a saleable commodity.

Rather, take steps to appreciate your children for the wonderful efforts that they have done. Think ahead and try to get something for your kids that will not just help them enjoy your extra income but also tell them that you love them a lot and you appreciate what they have done for you. Managing work and kids is not easy. It is only when kids willing to cooperate can you work properly in your office.

Just as you want extra love and affection for doing a good job as a mother your kids will naturally demand extra from you for the sacrifices they have made. Make sure you give them a few hours of your day in such a manner that there are no interruptions whatsoever.

Make it a point to have dinner time sacrosanct irrespective of the emergency in your hand. Such gestures will go a long way in convincing the child that he or she continues to remain special despite various other demands on the time and energies of the mother.
