Is it advisable for parents of disabled children to work together and leave the child in the hands of a nanny or alone at home? If you live in a joint family and your child has support of grandparents, your decision will become a lot easier. However, if you are living in a nuclear family, this decision can have serious implications.

Try to find organizational support for your disabled children. If your child is in the hands of another person who stays at home and takes care of his or her disabled child, you can work with a lot more confidence. You can pay for the service and help the other person manage his or her finances better as well.

Secondly, log on to the internet and check out various resources that will help you plan your approach better. You can check out experiences of other individuals who started working despite having a disabled child in the house. Of course, the nature of disability matters a lot. A child who cannot move around due to a physical disability can easily benefit by your decision.

If you have extra cash in hand, you can modify your house in such a manner that moving around becomes easier. You can afford an electronic wheelchair instead of manually operated one. You can help your child enjoy better facilities by providing an expensive laptop with high speed internet connection.

On the other hand, mental disability poses additional problems. If your child does not have a high level of mental growth, he or she may not be very safe if left alone. Daytime care becomes very important.

To stay at home and to sacrifice all your ambitions for disabled child, may lead to frustration and a sense of criticism. Rather than developing such a poisonous relationship, it makes more sense to work and find a solution to the issue of proper care of the disabled child.
